Strategy & Planning

Arts and culture professionals are often expected to deliver impactful programmes with very limited means. More often than not, they also need to constantly adapt to an evolving context and unclear expectations.

I help arts and culture professionals analyse the context they operate in, identify their core competencies, formulate their vision, make choices, define objectives and leverage potential partners. In doing so, I focus on listening and understanding their aspirations and sharing thought-provoking case studies from other contexts. Through interviews, creative workshops and story-telling, I help my partners unpack their vision and transform it into understandable and achievable steps of work. This process leads to the formulation of a clear vision statement, the identification of realistic and measurable outcomes to be achieved as well as the development of a flexible plan of operations and expected outputs. This is key to ensure maximum impact and coherence of programmes but also, to communicate about the value of arts and culture for society – something that professionals are more and more asked to do, whether one likes it or not…
