A wonderful artist-in-residence programme that I encourage you to discover: when arts becomes the vehicle for exchange, dialogue and collaboration around issues affecting our mountains and their people. The SMArt Programme (Sustainable Mountain Art Programme) tries to raise awareness on the challenges facing mountain regions by welcoming artists in Switzerland for a short stay, during which they create a work of art reflecting how they perceive and understand the challenges of their host region.
